I just can't get the hang of updating,

... even though I enjoy reading other people's postings so much. Just seems like I open the Journal window and the events of my life have as much relevance and weight as laundry lint.

This week is much taken with preparations for the San Diego ComiCon, a gigantic annual event that I have always yearned to attend but could never justify the cost or most especially the lost work time. But this year, I'll be helping out at the Studio Foglio booth, so it's all good.

Books I've read recently: Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynn Jones
The Hallowed Hunt by Lois McMaster Bujold
Fruits Basket #7 by Natsuki Takaya
Eats, Shoots and Leaves by Lynne Truss

I've learned more about: Herb Robert (geranium robertianum, also called Stinky Bob), a Eurasian wildflower that's an invasive weed here in the PNW.

Yeah, I know what you mean. Not just the relevance thing, but... um... you know. I suspect that people who are more in the habit of verbally sharing life events with others have an easier time of it—you know, they just send the thoughts to their fingers instead of their mouth and they're off. Me, not only do I tend to be rather self-inclosed, but an extra editor kicks in when I sit down at a keyboard. Plus there's the matter of all those half-baked fragments that think good in the shower but are nowhere to be found, or turn out to be much less than half-baked, when I could actually write. Ah well. I reckon our friends forgive us our foibles.
