Social Media

My buddy Greg is applying for a job and wants to demonstrate some of the abilities of social media, so he's put together this FaceBook Page and is now asking that anyone who cares to go and click the Like button.

It's just the sort of special test I have always wanted to see happen, where the responses will directly scale to how many people see the link. I know not everyone who encounters the notice will go through to click Like, but this test removes the whole "do I actually Like this" aspect.

I sort of hope he's keeping track of the number over time, and not just the end of week total that FaceBook provides automatically.

Continuing the Social Media shill

Except, it's not a shill if you amp the signal on something you really like.

Over on Goodreads, they're doing a community-voted compilation of excellent Science Fiction titles (and lots of others of course). If you are a member of Goodreads (it's free! and fun!) you can vote for your favorite.

I make no secret of my choice of GHOST SHIP by Sharon Lee and Steve Miller, but it's no easy choice - there's twenty fine options to choose between.
