I am stressing out over this EMBA application essay! It's too short, too stiff, rambles, and reads like I haven't written an essay in a quarter of a century. Oh. Right.
I want to apply As Soon As Possible. The deadline was April 1st, but since the fellow at Seattle U emailed on July 25th to recommend that I apply, there must be a lot of wiggle room in that date. The deadline for applying for the regular MBA program is August 20th.
I know I need to focus, hunker down and finish this. But my mind leaps away to any possible distraction - and since there's a long list of tasks that need to be done before we leave (tomorrow!) for WorldCon, there are a lot of potential distractions. Oh, and I need to leave for work shortly too. And work is really busy right now, so it's not going to be a good place to try and think about this stuff.
What I'll likely do is take one more stab at the essay, email it to Mike for comments, and probably post it here for evisceration. OK. That's a good plan. Now to it.
