I'm back from this month's batch of grad school classes - head spinning with info overload and giant piles of homework to dig through. And more than 100 work emails to triage.
My ambitions for launching into the first batch of essays has been rapidly overcome by the inclinatioon to go to sleep.
See ya tomorrow.

I am a former devoted customer of your wonderful bookstore in Chicago. I taught at a school close to the store on Clark/later Belmont, and went at least weekly, later following you to Evanston! I was "googling" you in the hopes that you are still posting your recommendations somewhere, and found your journal. I hope all is well with you and your family.
Is there a place that you post recommendations or recommendations for books that you use? I am afraid I feel a bit bereft of new great authors, many of whom I discovered through your store!
Thanks a million if you find time to answer this. I understand completely if you cannot, and wish the best of luck in school.
Sorry, but I haven't been reading anywhere near enough to have a lot of books to recommend. I thought my compulsive reading addiction would re-establish itself once I wasn't running the shop 20 hours a day, but it hasn't really.
I'd have more to say about which webcomics are fun to read, although that's a pretty individual niche.
And these days I do try to put more of my time into textbooks. (blah)
If you can get in contact with her please tell her to call me at 559 313 4774. Thankyouthankyouthankyou!
Here's hoping...!
