What I should be doing: finishing up the last of the edits on my school papers (due Thursday).
What I'm actually doing: admitting to myself that I'll never remember all these interesting links and topics that I've run across in the last couple of days of surfing if I don't collect them up somewhere.

Noted by File 770, Amazon moves to restrict websites who use their data from linking to other booksellers. While I'm sure the short-term result will decrease the amount of exposure the other shops get, the inevitable long-term result will be to establish a new (and possibly more reliable) source of title information. And then Amazon looses much of the reason they have as much influence as they do.

As spotted by Twitter poster Aeire, The Guardian has a fine article about the boundaries of religious tolerance. (And if you haven't already encountered Aeire's marvelous completed webcomic Queen of Wands or her ongoing Punch and Pie, I am delighted to be able to hijack your Sunday.)

Another moment of joy as Bruce Schneier's weekly squid blog highlights an interview with Jonathan Coulton.

And now, really, back to homework...

  • A weird night and an unsettled morning

Generally, my sleep pattern is delightfully boring: I get tired around 10 PM, will sometimes read or cruise the 'net until no later than 11, and fall…

  • Just a test

Because I want to see if things work like I think they do when I post a link here. Shelf Life, edited by Greg Ketter
